Brief Biosketch:
Dr. Mirza is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Connecticut Health Center. She specializes in the management of patients with osteoporosis and other women’s health issues. After completing her residency in internal medicine, she worked as a primary care physician for six years, before pursuing fellowships in hypertension at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School and in women’s health and endocrinology at the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine. Her research interests include osteoporosis, gender biology and physiological changes that occur with menopause.
