Brief Biosketch:
Dr. Petit graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He then completed his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Yale University. He is currently in practice in Plainville, Connecticut, and is also the Medical Director of the Joslin Diabetes Center Affiliate at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, in New Britain, CT. He is involved as a principal investigator in several clinical trials being conducted at the Joslin Affiliate. He has also served as the Past President of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Diabetes Association and is currently the President of the Hartford County Medical Society. He is also currently serving as the Health Director for town of Plainville, CT. He has published two textbooks on the treatment of Diabetes and Endocrine Disorders, and has also published several articles in peer reviewed journals. He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
