Our mission is to provide an outstanding educational curriculum and foundation in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, OB/GYN, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and other elective disciplines. Residents interested in continuing their education at the University of Connecticut, in either Internal Medicine or Primary Care Medicine, can proceed directly into the PGY2 year of those respective programs upon successful completion of the rotating internship. |
The Traditional Rotating
Osteopathic Internship began in 1994 as the only Osteopathic Training
Program in Connecticut. The internship, which is dually-accredited
by the AOA and the ACGME, holds 10 PGY 1 positions and is directed
by Darrin D'Agostino, DO, MPH. The Rotating Internship is fully
integrated into the Medicine Residency Programs. The internship
is designed to provide housestaff with a full spectrum of clinical
experience and patient care responsibilities that will enable them
to pursue careers in Primary Care, Internal Medicine Subspecialties,
or Non-Internal Medicine pathways.
