Traditional Rotating Osteopathic Internship

resident speaking with childThe Traditional Rotating Osteopathic Internship began in 1994 as the only Osteopathic Training Program in Connecticut. The internship, which is dually-accredited by the AOA and the ACGME, holds 5 PGY1 positions and is directed by Greg Czarnecki, DO. The Rotating Internship is fully integrated into the Medicine Residency Programs. The internship is designed to provide housestaff with a full spectrum of clinical experience and patient care responsibilities that will enable them to pursue careers in Primary Care, Internal Medicine Subspecialties, or Non-Internal Medicine pathways.

Our mission is to provide an outstanding educational curriculum and foundation in Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and other elective disciplines. Residents interested in continuing their education at the University of Connecticut, in either Internal Medicine or Primary Care Medicine, can proceed directly into the PGY2 year of those respective programs upon successful completion of the rotating internship.

All applications must be made through ERAS. Please note that ERAS currently refers to this program as the "Traditional Rotating Osteopathic Internship. In the future, ERAS will refer to it as Option 3. The ERAS program number is:
