Medicine/Psychiatry Residency Program

resident writing Overview: The Combined Medicine/Psychiatry Residency Training Program was established in 2000 and is a product of the growing connection between psychiatry and its primary care partners. Its mission is a product of efforts to join the study of mind and body. The Residency is under the combined jurisdiction of two well-established departments, Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. This program offers the opportunity to examine the application of psychological principles in medical care and the "medical" approach to psychiatric diagnosis and treatment. The program has two residents per year who rotate in tandem through psychiatry and medicine. The majority of training occurs at UConn Health Center and Hartford Hospital/Institute of Living with core elective rotations and specialty rotations offered at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2003 RECRUITMENT SEASON.
