surgery
The program in pediatric orthopedic surgery is renown for outstanding programs for children with scoliosis, hip dysplasia, cerebral palsy, and neuromuscular diseases. State-of-the-art resources, such as the computerized gait analysis laboratory, serve as models regionally and nationally. There are orthopedic residents continually on the pediatric orthopedic service and there is a pediatric orthopedic fellowship as part of the program.
Pediatric residents interact with the pediatric orthopedic program faculty
and trainees on inpatient and during outpatient rotations. The pediatric
orthopedic faculty are recognized for their teaching of pediatric
residents, and they offer both block and longitudinal electives.
Residents are invited to participate in their scholarly endeavors
as well.
