associate
program director's welcome
Dear Residency Program Applicant:
Let me add my warm welcome to those of Drs. Dworkin and Zalneraitis.
We thank you for your interest in our program. I am the Associate
Pediatric Residency Program Director with a focus on Curriculum
Development. In that role, I am helping to navigate as we transition
from our traditional system of training to a competency-based system.
I am also the Director of Inpatient Services and oversee the resident
rotations on the pediatric floors.
The University of Connecticut Pediatric Residency Training Program
is dedicated to the development of outstanding pediatric generalists,
ready at the end of three years to excel in any post-training environment.
We are excited about the opportunities to improve resident education
as we transition to competency-based evaluation, and are positioning
ourselves as leaders of that transition.
I look forward to meeting you on your visit to Connecticut Children's
Medical Center. If you have any questions or I can be of any further
assistance, please do not hesitate to call me at (860)-545-8679
or e-mail me at: renglan@ccmckids.org. Good luck with this exciting
process.
Sincerely,

Robert Englander, M.D., MPH
Associate Professor of Pediatrics
Associate Residency Program Director
Director, Inpatient Services
