The Cardiology Division is based at Connecticut Children's Medical
Center where faculty care for a large ambulatory practice as well as
inpatients and cardiac surgery patients. Technical support includes
electrocardiography; echocardiography; including doppler flow
evaluation; exercise studies; cardiac cathertization; electrophysiology,
interventional cardiology and angiography.
The division has been instrumental in establishing and publishing
national guidelines for cardio-pulmonary resuscitation in infants and
children. Research interests are in new applications of echocardiography
in the evaluation of a variety of cardiac diseases.
Residents interact with division faculty during inpatient and outpatient
rotations, and on block and longitudinal electives.
